Description
Nunavut Innovative Health Solutions Inc. (NIHS)
Full-Time
Employee | 35 Hours per Week | Remote — work from home, anywhere in Canada
Salary:
$62,000–$75,000 annually, commensurate with experience, plus on-call stipend
and benefits
Target start:
November 2026 | Applications close: Friday, October 9, 2026
Nunavut Innovative Health Solutions Inc. (NIHS) is
seeking an experienced Corporate Travel Consultant to join our administrative
and operations team. You will be onboarded alongside our current travel
coordinator, who is retiring in January 2027, and will take over full
responsibility for NIHS travel and accommodation.
This is a specialized corporate travel role
supporting dental teams travelling throughout Nunavut. The successful candidate
will have significant experience managing complex air travel, be confident
working independently, and be comfortable responding quickly when weather,
airline disruptions, schedule changes, or other circumstances require travel
arrangements to be modified.
This position is best suited to an experienced
corporate travel professional who understands that northern and remote travel
often requires creative problem-solving, careful attention to detail, and the
ability to manage multiple moving pieces at once.
What We
Offer
•
Fully remote work from home,
with a short paid onboarding period in Winnipeg and Ontario alongside our
current travel coordinator.
•
One client. You manage travel
for a single organization: no walk-in customers, no cold calls, no commission
targets.
•
Interesting work. Northern and
remote logistics where every trip is different and your judgement matters.
•
A small operations team with
direct access to the people who make decisions.
•
A separate on-call stipend for
weekend and after-hours coverage, on top of salary, plus extended health and
dental benefits.
•
Work with an obvious purpose:
every itinerary you build puts a dental team in a community that would
otherwise go without care.
Hours &
Compensation
This is a full-time employee position of 35 hours per
week, worked from home. Core hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Central Time,
Monday to Friday, with some flexibility.
Salary range: $62,000–$75,000 annually, depending on
experience and qualifications.
NIHS recognizes that urgent travel disruptions do not
always occur during regular business hours. This role includes a weekend
queue-monitoring rotation and after-hours response to urgent disruptions when travelers
are en route. This is compensated separately through an on-call stipend; the
rotation and the stipend will be set out in the employment agreement.
About NIHS
Nunavut Innovative Health Solutions Inc. delivers
dental care to communities across Nunavut under contract with the Government of
Nunavut. Our dental teams fly in from southern Canada throughout the year to
run clinics in communities across the territory, which means every clinic week
depends on travel that works. At NIHS, travel coordination is not a support
function; it is the operation.
We are looking for someone who understands corporate
travel and the travel industry, enjoys solving complicated logistical problems,
and can become a dependable part of the NIHS operations team.
To Apply
Please submit your résumé along with a brief cover
letter outlining your corporate travel experience, Galileo / Travelport / TP+
experience, and experience managing complex or disrupted travel through the PAX
News employment portal. Applications will be reviewed as they are received; the
posting closes Friday, October 9, 2026.
We thank all applicants for their interest. Only
candidates selected for further consideration will be contacted.
